Day 17 - an art piece (drawing, sculpture, painting, etc) that moves you.
Wow.
Uh.
All of them. Can I say that two days in a row? I made a whole website devoted to art because it has become such a huge part of my grief. I did write about an art piece that moved me a great deal very early in my grief. That post is here, and so maybe I will just let it speak for itself.

When we came home from hospital without Freddie, one of the first things I saw on tv was one of those manipulated maps to show worldwide infant mortality. The huge, overblown Africa and the tiny, weeny Europe.
And I simultaneously thought - in that tiny Europe of hardly any infant mortality, why me? And yet, look at Africa. All those women, all those babies. Why NOT me?

Angie, I'd never read that post, I was still pregnant with Florence back then. Seems strange now to think that I would need to find you and all my other bloggy friends just a few mnths later.

I remember going to see that painting with Sarah and David the day after I met you. It blew me away then- still does.
